JM: How many meals did you get per day?
Kristen: 3
Grant: three
JM: How would you rate the food? Please give details of why.
Kristen: F bad I would loose some weight if I had to stay
a long time
Grant: it is what you expect; cheap, starchy,
institution food, very bland. lot of grits and
instant potato. food is brought into the pod so
it usually is cold
JM: Did you have any favorite/least favorite meals?
Kristen: none
Grant: no
JM: Were there any other snacks offered outside of meals? What was commissary like and how expensive was it?
Kristen: no

These meals are designed to keep you barely alive and that is it. If you don't have money in your account or have a balance in medical for being seen like I do. You will starve. Again it is all part of the process of being in jail. One's comfort is not any concern to staff.
